OTTUWMA - Iowa Western Community College repeated as Region XI softball tournament champions Sunday by downing Southeastern Community College 5-4, in eight innings.

REIVERS SWEEP SOUTHWESTERN
The #9th ranked Reiver baseball team finishes regular season with the number 1 seed heading into the tournament which starts on Friday at Indian Hills.  The Reivers are 47-9 and went 15-1 in conference play.

REIVERS BEAT SOUTHWESTERN
The Reiver baseball team beat Southwestern 2 times on Saturday to make them 45-9 on the season and 13-1 in conference play.  IWCC will host Southwestern again on Sunday at Doc Ross Field starting at 12:00 for the final home games of the season.

Reiver Reserves Sign Division I

Anthony Williams and Hugh Barnett, both inside reserves for Iowa Western this season, have signed division I letters of intent. Williams to I.U.P.U.I. and Barnett to the University of Arkansas -- Pine Bluff. Williams and Barnett's signings adds to a total of 6 Reivers to sign at the division I level for next season. Further details by John Mitchell.

Troupe Returns To Southern Conference
Tyler Troupe a former Southern Conference performer at the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga, signed a National LOI with UTC conference foe Georgia Southern University.  Troupe becomes the fourth Reiver to sign with a division I program this spring.

REIVERS BEAT SOUTHWESTERN 21-2
The Iowa Western baseball team traveled to Southwestern for 1 game, and the Reivers won 21-2, by hitting 9 home runs to make them 43-9 on the season.  The Reivers will host Southwestern on Saturday and Sunday for conference double headers at Doc Ross Field, starting at 1:00 on Saturday.

Des Moines, IA Native Signs With Cal State Fullerton

Iowan Ray Miller signed a national letter of intent to attend Cal State Fullerton University this fall.  The 6'7 post is one of four junior college signees for this season's Big West Conference Champions. Further details by John Mitchell.

Toni Dance NJCAA Division I Softball Co-Player of the Week


Toni Dance, an outfielder from 19th-ranked Iowa Western Community College, is the NJCAA Division I Softball Co-Player of the Week. Dance, who is on a 24-game hitting streak, led Iowa Western to a 6-2 record last week that included sweeps of Dana College and Central College and splits with Indian Hills and Western Nebraska. On the week she was 16-of-29 with 12 RBI, three doubles, 13 runs scored and two home runs. She currently leads the team and conference with 91 hits and 27 doubles and is hitting .500 in conference play.

REIVER BASEBALL TAKES 2 FROM IOWA CENTRAL
The #9th ranked Reivers beat Iowa Central 2 times to make them 42-9 on the season.  Iowa Western will play at Southwestern on Thursday for a non conference game, and then play Southwestern again on Saturday and Sunday for conference games.

REIVERS SWEEP INDIAN HILLS
The #9th ranked Reivers swept Indian Hills on the weekend to make them 40-9 on the season 11-1 in conference play with sole possession of 1st place.  The Reivers will host Iowa Central on Tuesday at Doc Ross Field starting at 2:00.

REIVER BASEBALL SCHEDULE CHANGES
The #9th ranked Reivers will host Indian Hills on Sunday April 27th at 1:00 at Doc Ross Field and Monday April 28th at 1:00 at Doc Ross Field.  Both teams are 7-1 in conference and are tied for 1st place, as the winners of the weekends games will take charge of the conference.

The Reiver baseball team beat DMACC twice to make them 36-9 on the season.  The Reivers will host Indian Hills on Saturday and Sunday at Doc Ross Field for the conference lead.  Both IWCC and Indian Hills are 7-1 in conference play.

RICHTER LEADS LADY REIVERS TO SCHOOL RECORD
Andrea Richter's round of 77 led the Lady Reivers to a new school record at the Iowa Lakes Spring Invite.  Iowa Western shot a round 340 and finished just 11 shots behind team champion Des Moines Area CC.

MEN STRUGGLE TO FINISH ROUND

With six holes remaining in their round, the Reivers were only six over-par as a team.  Unfortunately, they struggled coming down the stretch and finished with a team score of 309.
